Well Water testing

June 19, 2026

The Towns of LaValle, Woodland, and Ironton, in collaboration with UW-Madison Extension and Sauk County, are offering a WELL WATER TESTING PROGRAM.

We want to make it convenient for you to test your water, identify any threats and learn how to keep your water safe for your family. It is easy to get involved…

1. Choose one, two, or all three of the test options which are explained in detail on the next page.

2. Pick up and pay for your well water testing bottle(s) at the LaValle, Woodland, or Ironton town hall on Friday, June 19 from 4-6 pm or on Saturday, June 20 from 9-11 am. Please make checks payable to Extension Sauk County.

3. Collect your sample(s) on Monday, June 22, and return them to your town hall on the SAME day either from 7-9 am or 4-6 pm.

4. Pick up your test results at an educational program on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 5:30pm 7:30pm at the LaValle Town Hall, 314 State Hwy 33/58, LaValle, WI 53941. Registration will begin at 5:30 pm. The program will start at 6:00 pm and conclude by 7:30 pm. The educational program will teach you about groundwater basics, help you interpret your results and show what you can do to keep your water safe to drink. (If you are unable to attend your results will be mailed to you.)
